A one-day career guidance program on higher education opportunities at IISc and about preparing for JAM and GATE exams.

The Placement and Career Guidance Cell, in association with IQAC, organized a one-day career guidance program on higher education opportunities at IISc and about entrance examinations for all BSc and BCA students on 30-09-2025 in the Botany lab. The principal, Dr. Dupam Satheesh, presided over the event and addressed the gathering, saying that the program has been organized for students to know about higher education opportunities at reputed universities and institutions like IIT, IISERs, and IIIT, which gives an idea about the post-graduation programs. The alumna of our college, Ms. Swati Arendra, a research scholar in the Department of Material and Engineering Science at IISc Bangalore, explained higher education opportunities and their importance at IISc and also guided students on how to prepare for the JAM and GATE exams to enroll in IISc Bengaluru. The Placement Officer, Mr. Basavaraj Hugar, carried out the event and mentioned the importance of the program. Faculty members Dr. Bheemanagouda N. Patil, Dr. Basavarajeshwari H., Ms. Shubha V. H. M., Ms. Pallavi, and Mr. Chetan.B.K., were present, and nearly 100 students witnessed the event.
