A special talk was conducted on the occasion of "Optional English Day-2025" on 18.10.2025 at Seminar Hall. The Department of English had organized "Optional English Day" on 18.10.2025 in the BBA Seminar Hall. Chairperson of CGC Smt. Kathyayani M. Maridevaiah presided over and inaugurated the event with Principal Dr. Dupam Satheesh; Chief Guest and Resource Person Dr. Shantala, Principal of GFC Kurugodu; HoD Shree K. Vijayendra Ranga Prasad; Mr. Narasanna, Rtd. English Lecturer; and Coordinator of IQAC Dr. Syeda K. Tanveer. After inaugurating the event, Dr. Shantala spoke about the benefits of learning optional English with a number of illustrations. Chairperson of CGC Smt. Kathyayani M. Maridevaiah delivered the presidential remarks. Faculty Shri. Kotresh, Shri. Sharmas Vali, and Smt. Netravathi were present on the occasion. Ms. Chaitanya of BA 5th sem carried out the event, Ms. Rajeshwari of BA 3rd sem invocated the event, Ms. Aisiri of BA 1st sem welcomed the guests and gathering, and Ms. Sri Latha of BA 3rd sem proposed the vote of thanks. Optional English students witnessed the event.
