The 11th International Day of Yoga was celebrated on 21-06-2025 at the auditorium of Smt. Allum Sumangalamma Memorial College for Women, Ballari, in collaboration with the Patanjali Yoga Samithi, Ballari. Smt. Kathyayini M. Maridevaiah, chairperson of the College Governing Council, inaugurated the program by watering the sapling. Dr. Dupam Satheesh, principal of the college, conveyed the importance of yoga through preliminary phrases. Shri Gangadhar Bandihal, editor of the Vijaya Karnataka newspaper, participated as a special guest and said that yoga helps keep both mind and body healthy. Dr. B. Govindaraju, principal of PU College, said that yoga improves physical and mental health. Patanjali Yoga Teachers Smt. Jayanti Kulkarni, Smt. Padma Srinivas, Smt. Pushpa Bhopal were present at the closing ceremony of the training progrmme.
