Report on the Event
The One Day Induction Programme for the UG Freshers 2025-26 was organized by the IQAC unit of Smt. ASM College for Women, Ballari, on 13.08.2025 at the Auditorium. The Chairperson of the College Governing Council, Smt. KATHYAYINI M MARIDEVAIAH, inaugurated the event by watering the plant. Principal Dr. Dupam Satheesh, the HoD of Commerce Dr. Gavisiddappa Gadag, IQAC Coordinator Dr. P. J. Bindu, & IQAC Co-Coordinator Dr.Syeda Kahkashan Tanveer shared the dais.
After the inauguration, all the Heads of the Departments introduced their respective departments & faculty members to the freshers. At the same time, the various cultural associations, committees, cells, wings, centers and units were also introduced by the respective Conveners. Principal Dr. Dupam Satheesh spoke about the V.V.Sangha, College and Management and their overall functioning. The IQAC Coordinator, Dr.P.J.Bindu, briefed about the prospects of IQAC and NAAC and how it monitors all the departments.
The Chairperson of the College Governing Council, Smt. KATHYAYINI M. MARIDEVAIAH, delivered the presidential remarks and said that the staff will be ever ready to address the problems and grievances of the students. She recommended the freshers inform her of any sort of problem that they face. Dr. SYEDA K. TANVEER, Co-Coordinator of IQAC, compeered the event. Dr. BASAVARAJESHWARI, Assistant Professor of Botany, welcomed the guests and gathering, and Smt. YASMEEN SHAIK, the HoD of BCA, proposed the vote of thanks. The formal event was followed by classroom activities in which the students of all programs were divided and assembled in the respective classrooms and were made to be involved in various activities like self-introduction, staining skills, mentor test, group discussion, etc. The event winded up with a lunch for all the staff and freshers. In all, more than 400 students and staff members witnessed the event.
