HISTORY & DEVELOPMENT OF LIBRARY:
The Smt. A.S.M. College for Women Library was established along with the parent organization in the year 1969. In the initial stage Library was housed in the small building of the College and in the year 1997 it was shifted to the newly constructed independent Library building. The total carpet area of the Library building is 334.45 Sq.Mts. and constructed in two floors. In the year 2010, the Library was renamed as “Library and Information Centre - Late.Sri.Y.Nagesh Shastri Memorial Library.”
ABOUT LIBRARY AND INFORMATION CENTRE:
Library and Information Centre plays a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of learning and teaching environment by providing required resources in the College. It is fully equipped with all resources related to curriculum to meet the end- users’ demands effectively, and is identifying and adopting good practices towards providing better services to the users. It collectively supports the teaching, learning and extension activities of the institute. All the students and faculty members of the institute are entitled to make use of the Library facilities on taking Library membership.
