The IQAC of Smt. ASM College for Women, Ballari, had organized "World Environment Day-2026" with the theme "Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future." on 5th June, 2026, in the main auditorium of the college. The College Governing Council Chairperson, Smt. KATHYAYANI M. MARIDEVAIAH, presided over the event. The Commissioner of Ballari City Corporation, Shree P.S. Manjunatha, K.A.S., was the chief guest. Corporators Smt. SUREKHA MALLANA GOUDA and Shree Vivek and principals Dr. DUPAM SATHEESH and Dr. B. GOVINDARAJU shared the dais. The dignitaries inaugurated the plant with water. The Chief Guest Shree P.S. Manjunath addressed the gathering and briefed it on the significance of the environment and its conservation. He urged the students to protect the environment today for a better tomorrow. Ballari City Corporation donated the waste bins to the college on the occasion. To commemorate the day, the dignitaries also planted the saplings in the college premises. IQAC Co-Coordinator Dr. Bheemanagouda. N. Patil, staff, and students witnessed the programme.
