The Science Association of Smt. A.S.M College for Women Ballari, had organized Smt.Usha Jali Memorial Science Lecture Contest on 20th July 2024 in the Seminar hall of the College. The Chief Guest and the Honourable Secretary of V.V.Sangha Dr.ARAVIND PATIL, Chairperson of the College Governing Council Smt.KATHYAYINI MARIDEVAIAH Principal Dr.A.M.KALAMMA, Coordinator of IQAC Dr.DUPAM SATHEESH and the Vice-President of Science Association Dr.SYEDA K TANVEER F inaugurated the event by watering the plants. After inaugurating the program The Chief Guest Dr.ARAVIND PATIL addressed the gathering that such academic programmes are the need of the hour, and it enhances the scientific temperament of the learners. It also creates wide scope for knowing the latest trends and development in the field of science.

1)Dr.PRUTHVIRAJ C B, ASST. PROFESSOR, DEPT OF ZOOLOGY KOTTESHWARA COLLEGE, KOTTUR.

2)Dr.GNANAPRASUMBA K, ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR, DEPT OF MATHEMATICS SSA GFC DEGREE COLLEGE, BALLARI.

3)Dr.GOVIND REDDY G, ASST PROFESSOR, DEPT OF PHARMACEUTICS, TVM COLLEGE OF PHARMACY, BALLARI were the distinguished Judges for the Science Lecture Contest. Total 14 students from different colleges of Ballari & Vijayanagara districts participated in the contest of which 3 among them has stood 1st, 2nd, 3rd place they are:

1)Ms.Vadara Rajeshwari from Smt. Allum Sumangalamma College for Women, Ballari has won the First prize of Rs. 2000 & Certificate

2) Ms. Bhavava K N from Kottureshshwara College,, Kottur, has won the Second prize of Rs. 1500 & Certificate

3) Ms.Shreelatha M from RYMEC, Ballari has won the Third prize of Rs. 1000 & Certificate

Remaining all participants was given participation certificates.

Number of Students Attended: 103 in the programme.
