Earth Day is an annual event on April 22 to demonstrate support for environmental protection. Today, our college NSS units and Department of Botany celebrated World Earth Day with a plantation program at our college campus near the botanical garden with the purpose of promoting students awareness to protect our earth and environment. In this event our students also fixed birds water feeders and grain feeders to many trees. Bird feeders offer a readily available source of water and food for birds. Birds need water to drink and to stay hydrated, especially during hot weather. Bird feeders are important because they provide birds with a reliable source, especially during harsh weather conditions or when natural food sources are scarce, ultimately contributing to their survival and well-being. This event was presided over by the Chairperson of our college, Smt. Kathyayini M. Maridevaiah. College Principal Dr. Dupam Sateesh, Head of the Department of Commerce Dr.Gavisiddappa Gadag,  IQAC Coordinator, Dr.P.J.Bindu, NSS officers Dr.Suvarnamma.D. and Dr.Basavarajeshwari H., college staff members, and our college students witnessed the event.
