Departments of Botany & Zoology activity- Celebrated International Darwin Day on 12th February 2025
@Smt.ASM College for Women, Ballari. A Special Talk was arranged on occasion.
On February 12, 2025, the Department of Botany & Zoology celebrated "International Darwin's Day" to commemorate Charles Darwin's birthday. On this occasion, the Chief Guest, Dr. Prashanth Konkal, Assistant Professor and Head of Zoology at Shri Gavi Siddeshwara Arts, Science, and Commerce College in Koppal, held a special lecture on Darwinism. Dr. Konkal elaborates on Charles Darwin's work for the scientific community, with a focus on the idea of evolution. The occasion was presided over by the Honorable Chairperson of the College Governing Council, Smt. Kathyayini M. Maridevaiah, and Principal Dr. Dupam Sateesh. The ceremony was witnessed by IQAC Coordinator Dr.P.J.Bindu, Co-Coordinator Dr.Syeda K. Tanveer, staff members from other departments, and more than 50 students. Dr.Bheemanagouda Patil, HoD of the Botany, introduced the Chief Guest. Dr.Dupam Sateesh, the college principal, made the presidential remarks, and Ms. Pallavi proposed the vote of thanks.
