Health Centre & Youth Red Cross Wing (YRCW) activity

FREE EYE CHECKUP Camp organized on 26.11.2024 @ College Auditortium 

Health Center & Youth Red Cross Wing of the College in association with District Health & Family Welfare Office, Ballari (Branch) had organized "Free Eye Checkup Camp" on 26.11.2024 in College Auditorium. The program was graced by the Chairperson of the College Governing Council Smt. Kathyayini .M.Maridevaiah, Principal Smt. H. Rathna, IQAC Coordinator Dr. P. J. Bindu. The team of Ophthalmologist were: Sri. Sunkappa, Senior Ophthalmic Officer, VIMS, Ballari; Sri. Chandrashekhar, Ophthalmic Officcer, THO, Ballari; Smt. Vijayalakshmi, Ophthalmic Officer, Sidiginalmola, PHC; Smt. Shakuntala, Ophthalmic Officer Ballari. More than 25 staff members, around 280 students were screened of which 21 teaching & non teaching staff, 81 students were found to have problem related to eye-sight. The District Health & Family Welfare Department, Ballari (Branch) issued spectacles free of cost. The free eye check-up camp was executed by Dr. Syeda K Tanveer, Convener Health Center & YRC Wing along with all the members of the cell (Dr.P. J. Bindu, Smt. Sreevani, Smt. Rohinaaz, Smt.Poornima,Smt. Anjana). A special thanks to Mr. Sharmasvali, Faculty, Department of English, for helping in arranging this event.
