Training Programme for Staff organized on 12.07.2024 at Seminar Hall

Training program on "Mental Health awareness and Stress Management"

Under the District Mental Health Program, our college Health centre in association with District Health and Family Welfare Department, Ballari Branch, has conducted a training program especially for college lectures (Both Degree & PU) on Mental health awareness and stress management by Dr.Rohan Nidagundi, Consultant Psychiatrist. The program was presided by Smt. M. Kathayaini Maridevaiya Madam, Chairperson CGC, Degree Principal Dr. A. M. Kalamma Madam, PU Principal Dr. B. Govindraj Sir, IQAC Coordinator Dr. D Satheesh Sir, Convener Health centre Dr. Syeda K Tanveer. Ms. Pallavi NP From B.Sc.-4th Semester compered the program, Innovation by Ms. Channa Basamma from BA-6th Semester,Ms.Rohinaz ,Faculty Dept of Chemistry welcomed the guests and the gathering, Dr. Syeda K Tanveer, Convenor, Health centre introduced the speaker , Ms.Shubha VH, Faculty Dept of Botany proposed vote of thanks. Nearly 30-35 faculties from both Degree and PU college has attended the training program.

Dr Rohan Vanagundi, MBBS, MD Psychiatry, Consultant Psychiatrist, (DMHP) District Mental Health Program, District Health and Family Welfare Department, Ballari, Karnataka.

Completed Schooling from Sainik School Bijapur, Karnataka.

Completed MBBS from (BRIMS) Bidar Institute of Medical Sciences under (RGUHS) Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.

MD Psychiatry from (IPHB) Institute of Psychiatry and Human Behaviour under (GMC) Goa Medical College under Goa University.

Worked as Senior Resident at (IPHB) Institute of Psychiatry and Human Behaviour under (GMC) Goa Medical College, Government of Goa.

Worked as Assistant Professor in Department of Psychiatry, (BVVS) S. Nijalingappa Medical College & HSK Hospital, Bagalkote.

Primary interest Forensic psychiatry and research in the field of psychiatry.
