Economics Department Skill Development activity - "Self Employment" - 16.12.2024

The Department of Economics in association with Placement and Career Guidance Cell of Smt.A S M College for Women, Ballari, organised "Skill Development - Self Employment" program for final year students of BA, BCom, BBA, BSc and MCom students on 16-12-2024. Principal Smt.H.Ratna presided the event, Resource Person Smt.Jyothi Krishna, LIC Development Officer, Ballari, explained briefly about History of LIC and benefits of new scheme "Bhima Sakhi Yojana", which is recently launched by prime minister Shri Narendra Modi on December 9th 2024. The IQAC Coordinator Dr.PJ Bindu, Placement Cell Officer Mr.Basavaraj Hugar, HoD of Economics Smt.Poornima.Y, HoD of Kannada Dr.Suvarnamma D, shared dias. Dr.Managala.B.N., carried out the event and Smt.Poornima.Y, welcomed guests and gathering, Ms.Kaveri.M, Faculty of Economics introduced the chief guest and Mr.Ramalinga, HoD of History proposed vote of thanks. Faculties from various departments and140 students had participated in the event.
