Department of Commerce - FOOD FEST activity - ASWAAD 2K24 (Flavour Junction) organized on 22.11.2024 @ College Cellar

Department of Commerce had organised "Food Fest-2024" under the caption "AASWAD 2K24". In all, 20 stalls opened in the cellar, with different types of dishes, delicacies and juices, being prepared and sold by the students in their respective stalls. V V.Sangha's Honourable President Sri. Allum Gurubasavaraj and Honourable Secretary Dr. Arvind Patel inaugurated the event and lauded the efforts of the students in organising the event. Smt.Katyayini M Maridevaiah, Chairperson of the College Governing Council, Principal Smt. H.Ratna and Head of the Department of Commerce Dr. Gavisiddappa Gadag and the faculties Dr.Gangadhar K, Dr.Anupama, Ms.Mamatha.K. And Mrs. Soumya.I., were present in the event.

ASWAAD-2K24” [Flavour Junction]—A Report
The Department of Commerce of Smt. A.S.M.College for women, had organized “ASWAAD”– Flavour Junction on 22nd November, 2024, in the Cellar of the College. The Honourable President of V.V.Sangha Sri. Allum Gurubasavaraj and the Honourable Secretary of V.V.Sangha Dr. Arvind Patel inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp. The Commerce Department had organized the Food Fest with the motto of inculcating the students with the practical knowledge of cooking and preparing varieties of recipes and delicacies and to explore their hidden skills and talent, by marketing them. After inaugurating the event, the President Sri. Allum Gurubasavaraj  expressed his joy for the grand food fest organized by the student of BCom. He also lauded the efforts of the students and the support and encouragement by the staff in organizing this event. In all, 20 stalls were arranged by the student for all semesters. The teams in the stalls displayed their home made delicacies and were marketed at the affordable prices i.e., not more than Twenty Rupees. Dr. Gayathri. M.P. and Smt. Nagarathna of S.G. Highschool were the judges for the food fest. The Chairperson of the College Governing Council Smt.Kathyayani M. Maridevaiah, who was the Chief Guest appreciated the endeavour of the students and commended the recipes prepared y them. Principal Smt. H.Rathna, Head of the Department of Commerce Dr. Gavisiddappa Gadag, Faculty of Commerce Dr. Gangadhar.K., Dr. Anupama K, Ms. Mamatha K, and Mrs. Soumya I and students of the Commerce department were present on the occasion. Finally, Stall No: 6 ‘ABHIRUCHI’ of BCom-III Semester won the First prize, Stall No: 18-“Love at first Bite” of BCom-III Semester won the Second Prize, the Third Prize goes to Stall No.12 “SnapSnacks” of BCom-III Semester and finally the Best Market prize goes to Stall No:13 of “Tasty Bites” of BCom-V Semester. The Chairperson of the College Governing Council Smt. Kathyayani M. Maridevaiah and the Principal Smt. H.Ratna gave away the prizes to the winners.
