Department of Chemistry activity-Celebration of Chemistry Day

Department of Chemistry celebrated "National Chemistry Day" on August 2nd 2024. Ms.Sakshi Patil, BSc-Final year invocated the event. Smt.Kathyayini M Maridevaiah, Chairperson of the College Governing Council inaugurated & Smt. H Ratna, Principal of Smt. A.S.M. College for Women,Ballari, presided over the event. Dr.B.Govindraju, Principal of Smt.ASM PU College, spoke about the importance of Chemistry in our daily life. Dr.Bindu P J, HoD of Chemistry, Mr. Basavraj Hugar, Assistant Professor, Smt. Anjana K, Smt. Rohinaz, Faculty of Chemistry along with the dignitaries offered flower petals for the Photo of Professor Prafulla Chandra Ray. Ms. Sana, BSc-Final year welcomed the guests and gathering, Ms.Vaishnavi Roa, BSc-Final year, briefed about the significance of 'Chemistry Day " and also read about the achievements of Prof. Prafulla Chandra Ray. Total seven students participated and presented in the event. Ms. J Priya Deshpande, Ms. Vaddara Rajeswari got First prize, Ms. Shreya and Ms. Devi Sowjanya got second prize, Ms. Harshita, Ms. Anjali and Ms. G H Sahana got third prize. Prizes distributed to the winners on occassion. Ms. J Priya Priya Deshpande compering and Ms.D Meghana proposed the vote of thanks. All the Department Heads, faculty and nearly 110 Chemistry students were present in the event.
