An Awareness Programme organized on "CYBER SECURITY"

Day-1 Report on the Event

The Department of Bachelor of Computer Applications of V.V.Sangha's Smt. ASM College for Women had organized a 2-day "CYBER SECURITY AND AWARENESS PROGRAM" in the Seminar Hall of the college. The Chairperson of CGC, Smt. Kathyayani M. Maridevaiah Chief guest and resource person Dr. Santosh Chauhan K.A.S., DYSP Cyber Crime, inaugurated the event by watering the plant. Department principal Dr. Dupam Satheesh, IQAC coordinator Dr. Syeda K. Tanveer, HoD of English Shri Vijayendra Ranga Prasad, and HoD of BCA Smt. Sheikh Yasmeen were also part of the inaugural event. Chief guest DYSP Dr. Santosh Chauhan shared his profound knowledge about cybercrime and its various forms. He advised the students on how to be cautious while using the mobile phones. He gave various hints on how to prevent cybercrime and to be secure on social media. He also distributed the pamphlets of Cyber Awareness to the students on the occasion. Principal Dr. Dupam Satheesh expressed his gratitude to the Cyber Crime Department of Ballari District Police for obliging the request and educating our students regarding cyber security. He advised the students to follow the guidelines issued by the Cyber Crime Department in order to prevent it at best. Chairperson CGC Smt. Kathyayani M. Maridevaiah, in her presidential remarks, appreciated the efforts of the BCA Department in organizing the thought-provoking event on cyber awareness and security. She stressed the need for the students to be alert about the cybercrimes. Ms. Zeba of BCA's final year carried out the event. Ms. Mahita welcomed the guests and gathering. The HOD of the BCA department, Smt. Yasmeen, introduced the chief guest. Ms. Bindu Desai of BCA first semester invoked the event, and Ms. Dikshita, faculty of BCA, proposed the vote of thanks. BCA faculty Ms. Sinchana, Ms. Annapoorna, and all the students of BCA witnessed the event.

Day-2 Report on the Event—Cyber Security Awareness Month, October 2025.

The valedictory event of the "Cyber Security Awareness Programme" for the academic year 2025-26 was organized by the BCA department of VV Sangha's Smt. Allum Sumangalamma Memorial College for Women on 17th October 2025 in the seminar hall of the college. The Chairperson of CGC, Smt. Kathyayini M. Maridevaiah, and the HoD of the Chemistry Department, Dr. P.J. Bindu, presided over the event. HoD of BCA Ms. Shaikh Yasmin and lecturers Ms. Dikshitha D and Ms. Annapoorneshwari V shared the dais. The valedictory event was comprised of debate, essay writing competitions, spot painting reels, and other activities. The CGC Chairperson and Dr. P.J. Bindu distributed the prizes to the winners. BCA V semester students Ms. Sandhya, Ms. Sabiha, and Ms. Nandini gave the feedback on this event. Ms. Shaikh Yasmeen briefed out the overall report of the event. Miss Bindu Desai, BCA I semester student invocated the event. Ms. Keerthana welcomed the guests and gathering Miss Samreen proposed the vote of thanks. Chairperson Smt. Kathyayini M. Maridevaiah presented the presidential remarks.
