A One Day Workshop - “Awareness on Emerging Technology” was organized by the BCA Department on 07.12.2021 in the Seminar Hall. Ms.Mahalakshmi, Founder of K.I.T., Ballari, was the Resource Person. The Department of BCA of Smt. A.S.M. College for Women had organized a One Day Workshop on “Awareness of Emerging Technology” on 07.12.2021 in the College Seminar Hall. The Chairperson of the College Smt. Kuppagal Girija, Principal Dr.S.Y.Thimma Reddy, Coordinator of BCA Department Smt. Sharvani Channapppa and Resource Person Ms.Mahalakshmi inaugurated the workshop by watering a plant. After inaugurating the event Chairperson Smt.Kuppagal Girija spoke that she had noticed the active part of the BCA Department in the progress and development of the College. She appreciated the efforts of BCA Staff and Students in organizing such an informative event for the benefit of the learners. Principal Dr.S.Y.Thimma Reddy in his presidential remarks said that today India has witnessed a rapid development; in the field of Science and Technology certainly, he lauded the efforts of the BCA team in conducting the workshop which updates the learners as well as the teachers with the emerging trends in technology. Resource Person Ms.Mahalakshmi, Founder of K.I.T., (Kanthi Institute of Technology), Ballari, addressed the gathering about the latest advanced trends in technology. She highlighted various emerging trends in technology like artificial intelligence, data science, virtual reality. Internet of Things (IoT) and others and briefed out its application and uses. Ms.Mahalakshmi motivated the students to create new and innovative applications in order to promote the technology. Ms.Zeenath from BCA-V Semester compeered the event. Ms.Mitubinisa introduced the Chief Guest to the gathering. Ms. Geeta, III Semester welcomed the guest. Ms.Shreelekha, Ms.Aishwarya, Ms.Shalmali invocated the event with Prayer Song and the Coordinator of BCA Department, Smt. Sharvani proposed the vote of thanks.
