Celebration of National Youth Day
"National Youth Day" - 158th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda is observed in the College Open Air Auditorium. College Principal Dr.S.Y.Thimma Reddy, Staff & Students participated on the occasion. January 12, 2021, marks the 158th birth anniversary of the Great Philosopher and Spiritual Leader Swami Vivekananda ji whose thoughts and teachings played an important role in the development of our country.

Celebration of 158th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda
National Youth Day- 12.01.2021.
The Bharat Scouts & Guides Unit & NSS units of Smt.A.S.M. College for Women had organized “National Youth Day” i.e. 158th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda on 12th January 2021 in the open-air Auditorium of the College.
The Principal Dr.S.Y.Thimma Reddy, presided over the event and inaugurated the event along with Dr.Govindaraju, Principal, Smt.A.S.M.P.U. College, Staff & Students. After inaugurating the program, he said in his presidential remarks that students should follow the footsteps of Swami Vivekananda, in order to give a wonderful shape to their lives. He described the life and achievement of Swami Vivekananda and said that he had the cultural heritage and glory of our nation over and across the world. He was a man known for simplicity and modesty and he was not only a great scholar but also a great patriot.
Smt.A.S.M.P.U. College Principal Dr.Govindaraju in his keynote address briefed out the history and glimpses of Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago Speech and concluded that even today he remains a role model for the youth and younger generation. Ms.Anupama from Commerce faculty welcomed the guests, Kurm.Rakshita invocated the event. NSS Unit Officers Dr.G.Shashikiran and Prof.U.Somashekhar carried out the event. The Bharat Scouts & Guides Unit Ranger Officer Smt.Mangala Boja & Volunteers participated on the occasion. Ms.Manjula of Kannada faculty proposed the vote of thanks.
