Activity of Youth Red Cross Wing

in association with Indian Red Cross Society & VIMS, Ballari.

 An Eye Check up Camp was organized by Youth Red Cross Unit of Smt. A.S.M. College for Women, Ballari, on Friday 31^st August, 2018 in the College Auditorium. The event was invoked by Kum.Shwetha & Kum.Rajeshwari of B.Com.-II Year. Kum. Vidya Shree K.M. of B.Com.-Final Year welcomed the guests and the gathering. Mr.M.A.Shakeeb, State Coordinator, IRCS, Karnataka, was the Chief Guest and inaugurated the event. After inaugurating the event, he spoke about the worldwide services rendered by the Red Cross Society. He stressed the students to donate the Blood & Eye to save the Life’s of thousands of needy.

Principal Dr.S.Y.Thimmareddy, who presided over the event and called upon the students to take an active part in the social activities. He lauded the efforts of the Youth Red Cross Unit of the College for conducting such beneficial events. He briefed out the significance of the Eye its protection and donation. Dr.Mallikarjuna, Ophthalmologist of VIMS, conducted an Eye Check up Camp on the occasion & 151 students got their eyes check in the event. Kum. Sahana Patil of B.Com.-Final Year proposed the vote of thanks; event was compeered by Kum.Chandra Sannibha.B.V., of B.Com.-Final year. The Convener of Youth Red Cross Unit Prof.A.Mallikarjuna Reddy, Staff Members & Students were present on this occasion.
