Celebration of National Science Day on 28/02/2017

Dr.K.Narasimhulu, Dr.B.Govinda Raju, President, Ballari District Unit, K.R.V.P and Dr. Nagesa Shastri were the judges evaluating 'Poster Presentations' on National Science Day.
"National Science Day" was celebrated in Smt. A.S.M College for Women by Science Association in collaboration with Karnataka Rajya Vignana Parishat, Ballari District Unit on 28/02/2017. Smt.Usha Memorial Science Lecture Contest was organised to Commemorate National Science Day.
Dr.S.A.Patil, Registrar of Evaluation, Vijayanagara Sri Krishna devaraya University, Ballari, was the Chief Guest. After inaugurating the event, he addressed the students that Science must be used for constructive purpose and absolutely for the welfare of mankind. He briefed out the benefits of Nano-Technology and its applications. He stressed that Science is inevitable for the progress and development of the Nation.
Dr.M.Pampapathi, Principal, who presided the event spoke that today Science has become an inseparable part of life. He lauded the efforts of Science Association in conducting such beneficial events. District Level Science Lecture Contest was also held on this occasion. Participants from over and across Ballari District presented their Lecture on various Science topics. Dr.K.Narasimhulu, Dr.B.Govinda Raju, Dist. President, Ballari District Unit, KRVP and Dr.Nagesa Shastri were the judges.
Mrs.Meghana of B.Sc.-Final got I Prize, Mr.Varun from T.V.M. Pharmacy College bagged II Prize and Kum.Sandhya, B.Sc.-IV Sem., Smt. A.S.M. College for Women got III prize in the Science Lecture contest. Kum.Pooja welcomed the guests, Kum.Sreekala Reddy introduced the guests. Smt.H.B.Shambhavi, Smt.Bramara Kumari, Smt.Shanthi.B.Tabita, Kum.Haripriya, Secretary, Kum.Kavya Bindu, Joint Secretary of Science Association, faculty members and students were present on the occasion.
