History of V.V.Sangha:-
Veerasaiva Vidyavardhaka Sangha, Bellary was established in 1916 at Bellary with a view to providing education to all strata of society, in and around Bellary district with a focus on rural students. This crusade against illiteracy and ignorance has continued to create not only a literate society but also a knowledge-based one. The V.V.Sangha thus runs 41 educational institutions with hostels and philanthropic organizations in Bellary, Koppal and Davanagere districts, covering Pre-Primary, Primary, High, Pre-University, Diploma, Degree and Post Graduate Courses. These Courses encompass Arts, Science, Commerce, Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Education and Law. It aims at carrying on the good work in the years to come.

Smt. Allum Sumangalamma Memorial College for Women is the lone premiere Women's College of V.V.Sangha. It has continued to full fill the aspirations of girl students of the region. It has played a pivotal role in shaping the career of en-number of students. This College has created an educational ambience for all the Women students of not only Bellary and neighbouring districts of Karnataka but also for the students of neighbouring States of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
The College was established in 1969 with the strength of 164 students and presently it can boast 1400 students. It is a full-fledged College with U.G. Programme in Arts, Science, Commerce, Management, Computer Science and Computer Application & P.G. Programme in M.Com. Its goodwill stands on the consistent securing of good results and ranks. Consequently, it has become synonymous with academic excellence. It has research-oriented and highly qualified competent Teachers with Doctoral degrees.
